Matt & Christy Taylor have been involved in the ministry of The Wilds since the summer of 2000. They joined the full-time staff there in 2005 and have served in a variety of positions since then. Matt currently serves as the Music Director and Summer Staffing Coordinator while also serving as the music director at their local church, Bethany Baptist Church in Brevard, NC.
Matt’s responsibilities include the oversight of on-site music, new recordings, music publications, and trips to Christian colleges to recruit college-aged staff for each coming summer. Christy works as the High School Facilitator at their local Christian school, Bethany Christian School. She is actively involved in the music at camp and church, and she oversees the music programs for the children at both. She loves discipleship and counseling opportunities, and has occasional opportunities to speak to the ladies at camp. Besides other recordings, Matt and Christy have produced 6 duet albums together, the most recent being titled “Look to Christ.”
They are passionate about leading and producing music for the local church that is fresh, theologically rich, and easily accessible so God’s people can passionately worship together in song. It is their great privilege and joy to travel regularly to minister in music at churches, schools, and conferences.
