In May 2024, Doug completed twenty-five years of teaching at Faith. He currently serves as a Senior Professor of Biblical Studies and as the Academic Dean at Faith Baptist Theological Seminary. He primarily teaches New Testament studies and biblical Greek in the seminary and youth ministry classes in the college.
In addition, Doug serves as an assistant pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Cambridge, IA. Doug is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College (B.A., 1992), Faith Baptist Theological Seminary (M.A., 1993), Central Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1995), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Ph.D., 2003). He has planned and led over thirty short-term missions trips with young people across the U.S. and around the world. He is passionate about discipling the next generation to love and serve Jesus Christ both in the academy and the local church. Doug is married to Tricia; together they have four children.
